This is a great planned community with an active association that co manages Windward Bluff with Windermere Property Management. The homeowners are well taken care. The association takes care of: the week to week landscape maintenance which includes mowing your lawn, trimming the hedges as needed, needed lawn chemicals, maintaining the sprinkler system and barking the flower beds on a as needed basis. The association is also responsible for cleaning/maintaining your roof, cleaning your gutters and roof replacement when needed. The association also stains the deck every other year and paints the outside of the house on a scheduled basis. In the past four years this house has had new carpeting, an amazing inside paint job, a new furnace, a new refrigerator and just this summer we replaced the water heater. As a side note we will be leaving for the new home owner the refrigerator, the washer and dryer as well as the amazing Murphy Bed in the second bedroom. Since the association owns the street in front of your house it gets cleaned almost weekly instead of the once a year service that the rest of Mukilteo gets. You can see the pride of ownership throughout the neighborhood and that is mandated by a set of rules that are not only written down but also enforced. A good many of the homeowners own houses elsewhere so they are gone the year. This is the kind of home you could lock up and be gone a week or 6 months and not have to worry about leaving it behind. The neighborhood has at least 2 functions a year; a Christmas dinner and a summer picnic. Sometimes we manage to sneak a third function in. We have a great mix of neighbors who socialize with each other a lot while there are some who like to maintain their privacy. Its your choice.
