The Neighborhood: ??This part of Kew Gardens is just north of Metropolitan Avenue and runs adjacent to the north-east end of Forest Park. The park is a very important part of the neighborhood and gives a feeling of freedom and beauty during every season. It’s a pleasure to travel down Park Lane South during the changing seasons as the park puts on quite a show. There’s also a small village along Lefferts Boulevard where one can find small shops and plenty of unique place to eat. It’s a small town oasis in the middle of NYC. Transportation to Manhattan from here is very convenient. Walk to the Long Island Railroad and arrive to Midtown in less than 10 min. The E & F express Subway is also within walking distance.
