Do you like to live in a nice environment? A home where no labor or thought was spared? Near water and parks and stuff? Then you might want to check this place out. The Palamabron Apartments, originally built in 1917 but its revision has taken over 15 years, i call it my art project. Recycled or re-used materials were used as much as possible. Many energy efficient materials and appliances. The unit available is on the top floor. I do not live onsite, although i did for many years. I am often at the property working. Features include: Lake Washington & Leschi Marina are a quick walk through Leschi Park (3 miles of running trails) Quiet neighborhood surrounded by mostly single family homes Soundproofing between units and bedrooms & living rooms do not share walls Original 100+ year old fir floors, 9-foot ceilings The current tenants were here for 3yrs, got married and are buying their first house. I asked them what they liked about the place and this is what they wrote: -Amazing view of trees in living room -Quiet (can't often hear neighbors) -Lots of storage space!! it makes the relatively small apartment feel bigger. -Bike storage & bike work stand -Functional kitchen, it's small but it fits enough, and makes good use of space -Great neighbors, who we genuinely want to hang out with -The most beautiful wood floors we will probably ever live on -TWO patios! And one that's big enough to have an outdoor gathering -Included internet -Top of the line appliances (everybody comments that our microwave is the best they've ever used and I concur - we're buying the same one for our house!) Dishwasher actually cleans stuff! -Dead end street which usually has plenty of parking for our single car lifestyle -Proximity to Frink Park, Leschi, and Lake Washington -Proximity to 27 bus stop gets you downtown in 15 min -A responsive, lovely landlord, and all of the nice people he has working for him Should have 3x month rent in income Tenant pays water & sewer. Building is submetered to encourage water saving. No cats or dogs unfortunately One car per apartment (if 2nd car, it has to park outside immediate neighborhood) No smoking in the building Floors are beautiful but old, fragile and irreplaceable. Felt pads on all furniture, no heeled shoes inside
