    Community has open parking, outdoor grills, and a pool. However, the best thing about Oakbrook Condominiums is that it is in easy walking distance to Shands, the VA hospital, and the Southwest portion of UF. It is also on a bus route and is just about a 5 minute drive to downtown Gainesville. Although the exterior of the complex is currently undergoing renovations, the interior has been renovated and looks very nice-- laminate wood flooring, tile flooring in the kitchen and bathrooms, and high-end carpet in the bedrooms. Upgraded counters, lighting, and cabinets. Updated HVAC unit. Washer and dryer inside unit. Open floor plan, in that the kitchen (with breakfast bar) opens up to the living/dining area. Though being on the 3rd floor requires you to be in good shape, it provides a great view of the trees and the pool, and a sense of safety that you would not have in a ground floor unit. Ideal tenants would be professional/graduate students or young professionals looking to be in walking distance of UF, Shands, or the VA. Renting directly from an owner, as opposed to a management company, provides you the benefit of having a single point of contact, quick responses, and no bureaucracy to deal with. Pets will be discussed on a case-by-case basis. UNIT MAY BE AVAILABLE SOONER. Electric and internet/cable are not included. However, water is included and there is open parking. A once per year professional cleaning will be included for tenants who stay for more than one year. Rent has been decreased due to the exterior repairs that are scheduled and the scaffolding that is currently preset. Absolutely no smoking allowed. Pets considered on a case-by-case basis.
