The neighborhood: Serene, safe, racially diverse, suburban neighborhood of nearly identical single-family homes, right next to San Bruno State Park. It's an 18-minute drive to Oyster Point or 9-minute drive to Daly City BART station. The immediate neighborhood is walkable, but, given our altitude at the top of the ridge, it is generally not convenient to connect to other parts of the city on foot. The weather is generally windy and foggy cool to cold, but occasionally bright and sunny, even hot. Top-of-the-ridge weather. The neighbors are reserved but friendly. Auto vandalism is rare. The Home: Colorful, quirky, beautiful home with a breathtaking view of the city. Out of the large picture window in the front room you can see fog racing past the tall, bird-filled trees. On a clear day, you can see the ocean to the left, Twin Peaks, downtown SF, and across the Bay Bridge to the left. There is lots of storage and space, especially in the garage. Street level- There are two parking spaces in the driveway, and with a bit of geometry two more on the street. There's a large two-car garage with an art studio, ample storage space, and onsite washer and dryer. There's a small back patio with a hedge and that same epic view of the city. The downstairs is partially converted. Main level- Up a flight of stairs there's a kitchen with a professional range and modern appliances such as air fryer, convection toaster, etc., and a large bright common area with dining room with a retro dinette set, comfortable living room and baby play area and office area. Down a hallway is a cute full bathroom (the mermaid bathroom) with a skylight and shower tub combo, and three bedrooms. Parquet floors throughout. Bedrooms have closet space and there is additional closet and storage space available. Available Room: $1650/month Upstairs, on the main level of the house, large bright sunny private bedroom. This is the biggest bedroom in the house (14 feet x 11 feet) . It has black-out window shades, a private bathroom with a shower, built in storage and ample electrical outlets. The shower head is up very high, perfect for washing your pet giraffe. This room has a large closet (12 feet long) with double mirror doors and double shelves up high. Parquet flooring throughout. You: You "like people". You have experience living with other people, you clean up after yourself and find it easy to be a good housemate. You are decent at communicating and "adulting". You are confident enough in yourself to accept and give criticism. You are not bigoted. You have high personal integrity. You have sufficient income to live in this wretchedly expensive city. You are vaccinated. Other housemates: People who may be nothing like you, but they like living in community, they are good people and good housemates. The vibe: Happy home full of laughter and friends and children. Shared house responsibilities and possibly food. We all pitch in on a housecleaning service that comes once or twice a month. Monthly house check ins, more if issues arise. Sometimes we socialize with each other, sometimes we are in our rooms or out doing things. We share house meals regularly, and respectful guests are welcome. Everyone respects the rules that the parents have for their own children or animals. We are all different and weird in our own ways and appreciate each other. We live in joyful community. We solve problems when they arise.
