We had been renting our home through Vrbo for vacation rentals, but due to the aftermath of Helene, we are offering our home for long term rental. Note that we are not able to move the furnishings out. Charming cottage located on Lake Lure surrounded by trees in a relaxed and peaceful setting. Knotty pine-wood walls and ceilings, hardwood floors, and 2 gas fireplaces grace this home. Upon entering, you will find 2 bedrooms: one has a queen-sized bed, the other has a set of log style bunk beds. The bathroom has a tub and shower. The large kitchen has plenty of counter space and is fully stocked. It is open to the living room which features a gas fireplace, and the dining room has a rustic style wood table that can seat up to 8 people. A flat screened television hangs above the mantel and can be viewed from the kitchen, dining room, and living room. Off of the kitchen is an outdoor deck with a gas grill and beautiful views. The lower-level bedroom suite sports a private bath, gas fireplace, TV and sofa. The brand-new washer and dryer are also just off the lower bedroom. Beyond the lower suite is a screened porch and a deck with a variety of seating. Walk down the stairs to our large firepit patio. **Anyone with mobility or endurance issues should be aware that there are 100 steps down to the lake. There is parking for 4 vehicles and an outlet for charging an electric vehicle. Please note the furnishings in the photos might not reflect what's currently in the home, as we've made changes since the photos were taken. The range is no longer gas, but an electric smooth-top range. 6-month and 1-year leases considered. Dogs will require additional non-refundable pet deposit of $250 per pet. No cats or other pets, please.
