The full basement is constructed of insulated concrete forms and houses the gas water heater, central forced air furnace and 100-amp service panel. Out of the way solar panels generate energy held in eight, deep-cell batteries located in a separate shed along with the inverter and back-up gas generator. A drilled well and septic system are located on the property. The 275-gallon LPG tank fuels the indoor Berkshire stove, kitchen appliances, dryer and back-up gas lighting throughout the cabin. The property has 200 feet of lake frontage. Deer lake is a 78-acre quiet lake in Iron County Michigan with a maximum depth of 44 feet supporting Blue Gill, Northern Pike, Walleye and Yellow Perch. Snowmobiling, snowshoeing are favorite activities in the winter.
