Aloha! This summer, I'll be holding my art camp in Berkeley, and I'm looking for the right person (or couple!) to enjoy my Maui home while I'm away. From May 1 through November 1, I'll be renting out my fully furnished house and my car in South Shore Maui a perfect retreat for someone seeking beauty, comfort, and inspiration. Flexible dates: Ideally, you'd move in by May 1, and stay until November 1 (11am). I'll be leaving May 8 and returning September 25, so there may be a brief overlap I'm happy to talk this through and work with you. Other shorter dates/times may be possible - please write to ask me! The rent is reduced from $4500/mo. to $2950/mo. in exchange for taking care of my sweet, mellow cat Sally (feeding her twice daily and scooping her litter). She's low-maintenance and full of love - so being a cat lover is essential! A $3500 security deposit is fully refundable within 10 days of your departure. About the home: It's truly a special place bright, peaceful, and filled with Maui sunshine. Primary bedroom: California King bed, A/C, ensuite bath, private lanai with hot tub access Second bedroom: Queen bed, A/C, private bath across the hall Kitchen & Living: Fully stocked kitchen, dining area, spacious living room, washer/dryer, dishwasher, Vitamix, large TV, fast WiFi, and full A/C Extras: Exercise equipment, bi-monthly cleaning, monthly landscaping, and a cheerful, sunlit studio/family room with a mini ping-pong table Outdoors: Private fenced yard, fruit trees, hot tub, umbrella-shaded patio with table and deck chairs for al fresco dining Sustainable living: Solar-powered home About the car: You'll also have use of my 2018 Chevy Volt a gas/electric hybrid with a 47-mile electric range. It charges at home, and I've only used half a tank of gas since I bought it in September 2023. It's a dream to drive around the island. Location, location, location! Located in Central Kihei, it's a 7-minute walk to the beach, and a quick stroll to restaurants, cafes, and shops. Fabiani's pizza is just around the corner, and Safeway is a 3-minute drive. You're also close to beautiful beaches, golf courses, the Kihei boat ramp, and Maalaea Harbor home of the Maui Ocean Center and the incredible Whale Dome. This is a rare opportunity to live in a peaceful, creative sanctuary ideal for writing, painting, relaxing, or just soaking up Maui's slower pace and natural beauty.
