This is a cute *furnished* 2BR 1BA house with mid-century style and charm. I'm a professor at the U of A on leave (see below), and it's especially great for a visiting professor, postdoc, visiting nurse, or someone moving to the area looking to get settled temporarily before buying a home (though open to all interested). The house gets wonderful light throughout the day, but stays relatively cool (and has great AC and heat). It's a very easy commute to the University of Arizona campus (by bike, car, or shuttle bus) or the Banner Medical Center and hospital -- and it's centrally located for many other places around town (including restaurants, supermarkets, and other essentials nearby). The main bedroom is very large and has a queen bed, two dressers, and two very large closets. The second bedroom is a bit smaller -- ideal for a child's, roommate, guest room or office -- as it has a desk, a twin trundle bed, and another large closet. Both rooms are in the back of the house have south-facing windows with lovely light (and blackout shades). Bathroom has shower and tub -- and the vanity and medicine cabinet were updated summer 2022. The living room has a comfy sofa, great for watching TV. There's a large dining table, great for hosting a few friends or spreading out for work/craft projects. The kitchen is on the smaller side, but well-equipped with new induction stove/oven, dishwasher, and fridge (all purchased summer 2022), and all of the cooking and eating essentials. Washer and Dryer (purchased summer 2023) are outside under a covered porch, just off the dining area. Note: laundry is on a grey water system that empties into some of the plants in the back, so you must use natural/eco-friendly detergents. There is a large fenced-in yard in the back, with an outdoor dining table and chairs to enjoy Tucson's milder months. There's a gated and covered carport in the back for 1 car, with a bit of additional storage (for a bike or other things, though not secured besides main gate). Additional parking is available outside gate in rear. Plenty of unrestricted street parking in front. Please note: I am a professor at the University of Arizona, and this is my home (I am not otherwise a landlord) -- I am renting it out furnished while I travel for research. All furniture is included, as are bedroom and bathroom linens, kitchenware, etc. (similar to an Airbnb-style rental). I am using the top areas of the closets (the small doors above the main doors) for my own storage, but there is plenty of room in the main closets for your things. MUST be rented furnished. Applicants must demonstrate monthly income of at least 2x rent (3x+ desired); may be willing to consider co-signer or savings. Renter will be required to obtain renter's insurance policy. Utilities NOT included. (Renter will pay for electricity, gas, water, trash, and Internet.) Pets considered with additional deposit (TBD). No smoking in house (outside is ok if properly managed). One month's rent required as deposit (payable after move out). Available starting November 1, 2024 through August 15, 2025 (possibility of extension, but cannot be guaranteed after that date). Some flexibility on start and end dates. Required $250 cleaning fee (to be used when tenant moves out).
