I am looking to sublet my large, furnished room in a three-bedroom apartment near the corner of Sherman St. and Deering Ave. It is just a few minutes walk from the Maine Medical Center and about 15 minutes from the heart of downtown Portland. We usually find parking on the street without trouble. The apartment is light and airy. In addition to the bedrooms and one bathroom, it consists of a spacious modern kitchen connected to a living room with a bay window overlooking the tree-lined street. It is on the third floor of a three-story building. There is a washer and dryer in the apartment; ample storage in the basement; and a backyard patio with furniture and a grill that you may use. The rental period will run from the beginning of May until the end of August. The cost to sublet -- $725 per month -- includes utilities. The internet and compost collection fee are split between housemates and come out to $23 each per month. Thus you can expect to pay a total of $748 per month. If you would like to move in or out a week early, that is fine and the rent will be adjusted accordingly. Your housemates will be a female artist from Arkansas in her late 20s and a male entrepreneur who is native to Maine and in his early 30s. Both are successful, interesting, courteous, and easy to communicate with.
