With incredibly easy access to Temescal, Piedmont, Uptown, and Grandlake, you can enjoy an amazing variety of delicious food with very low effort. If you're thinking about moving from SF, or somewhere else, here's a few spots that should be on your list: Restaurants: Piedmont Ave: Lo Cocos, Baja's, Dopo, Cafe Triste, Cesar's. Telegraph: Dona Tomas, Pizzaiolo, Barlata, Marc 49, Burma Superstar, Aunt Mary's Cafe, and Bakesale Betty's, Coffee: I'd recommend Subrosa on 40th, Arbor on Telegraph, Cafe Underwood on 41st, and Timeless (they're vegan!) on Piedmont. If you feel like a 5 min ride down broadway, there's Farley's at Grand. Groceries: Can't go wrong with one of the largest Whole Foods in the country at Harrison and 27th. Piedmont Grocery is just past Broadway, on Piedmont Ave. You're also incredibly close to Lake Merritt, Piedmont Ave, College Ave, Emeryville shopping and theaters, and all the cool stuff that Berkeley has to offer.
