2Bedroom Lakeside Cabin - $1,300 per month plus said utilities
Quintessential Mountain Cabin at Vallecito Lake - 30 minutes to Durango, Colorado.
Preferably, we are looking for two tenants.
No smoking.
The lease begins November 1st, 2025 - April 30th, 2026.
The first month's rent is due when the lease is signed and two month's security deposit ($2,600) is due when tenants move in.
This is a roomy (1120 sq. ft.) 2-story, 2-bedroom cabin nestled in the pines at the south end of Vallecito Lake with just a short walk to the lake's shoreline.
The cabin is fully furnished and has both air conditioning and a fireplace; the fireplace is not to be used as a sole source of heat, there is propane to be used as the main heat.
The second floor has two bedrooms, the master bedroom has a private bathroom and the second bedroom has a hallway bathroom. Both bedrooms have king beds.
There is a covered deck and some of the furniture can be left for tenants to enjoy deck-time.
Wi-Fi included.
The tenant(s) will be responsible for propane, electricity, trash, and any needed snow removal from deck and will also need to pay share for snow removal on dirt road when needed.
The Cabin is on septic and shared well water so we need to be gentle on our building systems and are looking for one to two persons for the lease.
We are looking for prospective tenants to have good credit, work, and rental references.
Durango is a 30-minute drive in the summer, and extra time must be accounted for commuting to work with snow.
County Road 501 (the major road) is plowed, but the clearing of the dirt road is maintained by people in the neighborhood (including you). All-wheel or four-wheel is required, and snow tires may be helpful.
Ideally, you enjoy solitude, quiet, and time surrounded by nature. To pass the time, you may take to winter fishing, hiking, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing (there is a well-maintained Nordic Track at the lake), and cozying up with a great book. Prospective Tenants must have a steady income to be considered.
