Nestled in the back yard of a home in the Old Mountain neighborhood, this delightful, bright, and furnished cottage has a perfect location: just a few minutes' walk to downtown Castro Street, Caltrain, the VTA light rail, and the pickup locations of numerous corporate shuttles, including Google, LinkedIn, and NASA. The cottage has a relaxing and private ambiance, and the garden is yours to enjoy! It's like a little paradise: the French doors open to a view of lavender, succulents, persimmons, and vines. The front patio is perfect for morning yoga and evening wine, both of which pair well with the fluttering hummingbirds that feast on the plants! The furnishings include a queen bed, a TV and TV stand, a really comfy red couch, and some outdoor furniture. For those needing to work from home, we're happy to provide a work table and a suitable chair. There are several closets, each with ample shelving. There is also a kitchenette, and a sizeable and bright bathroom with a shower / bath, and a large skylight. We charge $75 per month for all utilities: water, gas, electricity, Internet, water, sewer, and garbage. There are free laundry machines in the adjoining garage. We provide cable TV via a SlingTV subscription. You can use your own Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu, Peacock etc. accounts. The cottage has a kitchenette with a convection microwave (instead of a traditional oven) and two tabletop induction hot plates (instead of a traditional stove). There is also a coffee maker, hotel-style fridge, sink, plates, cups, silverware, wine glasses, bowls, etc. Note that there is no dishwasher. While the setup works great for most meals, the cottage isn't really set up for gourmet cooking, so if haute-cuisine is your thing, this property probably isn't a good fit. The front home, where I live, has a picnic table and a barbecue, both of which you are free to use as well. For $80/month extra, we will include two monthly cleanings. (Those 2 cleanings cost us $160, so it's a loss for us, but it enables us to offer more work to our awesome cleaners, and helps you live in a pristine environment!)
