(Willing to do a work-trade instead of rent, for the $600 office space, for someone trusted and reliable, who can act as a property manager of sorts and support with landscaping/yard work, basic fixes/carpentry, mechanical / small engine repair / or other homestead support. Hours, projects and responsibilities to be tracked by the tenant and agreed upon/approved by the landlord. Open to negotiating further for a single self sufficient adult who can handle property responsibilities.) These two light filled rooms (700 sq ft total) sit in their own wing of the house (one staircase leading up to the 2 rooms), both have a lot of character and natural light. The additional room is perfect for an office/meditation/creative/workout or other alt space. The kitchen, living room, endless yard and front porch sitting area are shared. The owner has their own bathroom, but the shared bathroom (yours) is used by employees as well as guests. Beautiful claw foot tub with a shower and plenty of storage space for your bathroom things. There is a nice community-like feel as the owner runs a kayak/rafting company, so there are often employees grabbing snacks from the kitchen, doing projects around the property or joining for dinner on the grill. It is a very relaxed and casual sharing vibe. Location: This 1920's farmhouse is situated on 4.2 acres in Oregon City (with 150 ft. of steep river front property across Clackamas River Dr.). It is two miles from I-205 & 213, home depot, and another 1-2 miles to downtown Oregon City, grocery stores and all major services. The House: This 2800 sq. foot home has two separate upstairs areas, and the two rooms for rent are the only two rooms in this upstairs wing (approx. 700 sq. ft). Both rooms are large with lots of light (one has a skylight) lots of closet space, and a linen closet. The common main floor bathroom available for tenant is at the base of the stairs (just past the washer/dryer hallway) and has a shower in the claw foot tub. Backdoor opens to a lovely grove of Doug Fir trees, and a park like setting in the empty lot between farmhouse and the neighbor. The large country kitchen that will be shared with the owner of the house has ample cabinet space, a large fridge, microwave, toaster, range, and a large wood stove. There is a covered porch out the front that gives way to a fenced in dog run with several pear trees, a fig tree, and a few rhododendrons. There is also a large sun room side entry and living /dining room with hardwood floors, a bay window bump out, and a wrap around couch. We have a BBQ off the side of the house under a covered section of roof and ample parking in the front lot (with a circular driveway that allows for easy access).
