It remained an apartment building for many years and at one point in its life even received a facelift. Like many other historic homes in the downtown area during the late 1950s and early 1960s, the facade was changed from Victorian to Spanish Colonial style. In 2008, the building began its third life when its new owner/builder and archetect Donald A Crichlow completely reinvisioned it as a single family Spanish Victorian home. The house was rebuilt with meticulous care with no expense spared. New systems were added resulting in a new "old" house. The extensive woodwork was custom designed and milled from local cypress by true artisans. The result is a beautiful carefully crafted home that feels old, but lives new.
