There are two homes on my lot. In 2017 we completed an auxiliary dwelling unit (ADU) in my backyard with 800 ft.² living space. I will describe the ADU: It is very modern, stylish with high end materials. The upstairs is the master suite with a full bath and large closets, 5 upstairs skylights. Four skylights can be opened and are operated with remote control. Downstairs is open design living room and kitchen, plus a three-quarter bath. Both baths are done with Carrera marble, glass, and stainless with waterfall showers. A 2 ft wide skylight runs the length of the North side of the downstairs (living room) ADU. The kitchen has a Blue Star gas range, Half dishwasher, and German design Refrigerator. Cabinetry was hand made in Seattle of figured maple. Granite counters And granite waterfall are of laboradite bianca from Madagascar with opalescent crystals. Stairwell has glass and stainless steel handrail to allow light from the 5 East windows to illuminate the downstairs. floors are bamboo and marble tile. There are two decks off upstairs Master. Vertical grain For doors and trim throughout. I cannot accurately describe the house because there are two houses making two kitchens, two living rooms, two master bedrooms, etc. The ADU is not a mother-in-law apartment, but a fully functioning separate home with separate address: 1513 B 16th Ave E, Seattle, WA 98112.
