This is not a sublease, but rather, a transfer of my current lease to you, and at the end you can stay longer or depart, therefore, an ideal solution for short term but not prohibitive if you need to stay. Move in would be sometime between Nov 1st and 4th, and the lease runs to/through July. This is approved and sanctioned by the building manager (who is uncommonly amazing and kind) so nothing funky happening here. I believe square footage is around 800, and the space is ample for one person or a couple. Pictures (apologies for the vertical head-turning ones) are at night but it truly is a wonderful, brightly lit unit. I'm not planning to leave it furnished but if you need any of my furniture we can have that conversation. The rent is $2050 monthly and the building pays for water and trash, so tenant is responsible for gas, internet/cable, electricity. 1 covered parking (in a large gated lot) is also included. The garage is actually fantastic and this is a huge benefit to have in an apartment in LA. Laundry is on-site and in a separate area so you can do it 24/7 - it's not adjacent to a unit. Window a/c unit in the wall in the living room by the sliding door. It's not keeping a window open, it's actually built into the wall. Easy to get a floor unit for the bedroom as well if you so desire. The layout is ensuite - there is a door that closes the living room from the bedroom/bathroom area, and a small hallway that leads to the bedroom behind a separate door and the bathroom behind a separate door. This makes it easy to host a guest in the living room, but still keep your bedroom private from the 1 bathroom. It's a quiet building on a side street below Santa Monica Boulevard that doesn't get much traffic, so outdoor noise is very minimal. I don't even hear the trash truck. Walkable to Starbucks, Taco Plus, Hawaiian BBQ, Sushi, Subway, and local bars like Mom's and Busby's. Short driving distance from Sawtelle (best Japanese food around) and to Santa Monica Pier. Move in will likely be sometime between Nov 1st and 4th as they will take a bit of time to deep clean the apartment to be ready for you!
