I hope that life is treating you all well! I own a 3,800 square foot home that was built in 2006 sitting on 0.29 acres of land in the Suncrest area in Draper, Utah. If you are not familiar with Suncrest, it is a community that sits between the Draper Corner Canyon area & Alpine/Highland/Lehi. It is about a 10 minute commute to major amenities to both the Draper & Lehi sides off of the mountain. It is a great location to live if you have a job in the Draper or the Alpine/Highland/Lehi Utah County areas. My home sits right across the street from the access area to the Eagle Crest Trail system that extends into 50-60 miles of trail access. If you love to hike and/or mountain bike, it is such a great area to reside! One of the most beautiful & quiet areas that I have ever resided at!
The home consists of six bedrooms, four bathrooms, & three floors. I have moved both myself/daughter (50% custody) into the basement apartment portion (two of the bedrooms & one bathroom) of my home which has a locked off separation door. We will sleep downstairs & will occasionally frequent the common areas of the home if necessary. We will be in the kitchen area occasionally to make food & may hang out in the common area family rooms on the main floor. That will leave approximately 2,600 square feet of common area for 2-3 roommates. The main floor consists of the kitchen, two family room areas (one with a gas fireplace), two dining areas, & a half bathroom. There are three regular bedrooms upstairs, a full bathroom, & a master bedroom/master bathroom. I have converted the master bedroom into another family room area with a large sectional couch & TV to allow for enough space for any tenants to spread out to have ample privacy. I am leaning towards having 2-3 roommates. The home sits on a cul de sac road with very little road traffic. The elevation of the home sits at approximately 6,200 feet & has some incredible views of Utah Lake from the family room extending all the way down to the Spanish Fork & Santiquin areas (about 40-50 miles away). Room rent will include one off street parking space in the driveway. One vehicle will be permitted per tenant. No parking on the street from November 1st through April 30th to allow for proper snow removal. I do have a three car garage, but will be keeping that area to myself for my personal vehicles. I am asking for $875-$900 a month per regular bedroom (depending on the bedroom/one individual per room/no exceptions) plus a flat $75 fee per month for each tenant that will include all monthly utilities. There is also a covered 12'x12' deck off of the kitchen dining area that has epic city views! I have personally lived in the home for nearly seven years & absolutely love it here!
A little bit about myself. I am a 42 year old divorced male that lives a low key lifestyle. I am an avid outdoorsmen & spend a lot of time on the local trails. I am a business owner & work from home often. I do share custody of my six year old daughter with my ex wife, but will have her downstairs in the locked off portioned area a fair amount of the time Saturday-Tuesday. I also have two middle aged French Bulldog's that will reside on the main floor the majority of the time & they both stay downstairs with me at nighttime. They are very well behaved dogs & very rarely bark. We do have a separate entrance door for the basement, so we will try to stay out of any roommates way, but wanted to give you full disclosure regarding the situation.
I am looking to find 2-3 even tempered roommates that share some similar interests & have respect for others as well as my home. I grew up with an LDS background, but do not practice the religion any longer. I'd say that I'm a God fearing man, but I am not crazy religious. I do not participate in any partying & would prefer to find roommates who aren't crazy and/or wild.
