It's only available from mid-May until the end of July, and has been rented out to another tenant after* I'm subletting a gorgeous, incredibly spacious two bedroom/two bathroom apartment in the South Range apartment complex, which is right next to the Oakhurst Inn and Cafe, and directly across the street from UVA grounds (specifically, the English department building). I've lived here for four years, and I'm only moving because I got a job out of state. Otherwise, I would honestly stay in this apartment forever. It has HUGE windows that look right out onto Jefferson Park Avenue (the picture of Bryan Hall I've included is the actual view), and the high ceilings and open floorplan make it feel super light and airy. It has stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, hardwood floors, an in-unit washer and dryer, and a dishwasher. It also has a balcony right next to the front door, which is perfect for setting out a couple of chairs! Plus, as you can probably tell from the fact that my dogs are in the photos, the apartment, and the whole building, is pet-friendly. There's a little mini park behind the building/in front of the hotel that dogs really love, and there are a ton of little side streets behind that which are perfect for walks (plus, you can be on grounds with them in less than five minutes!). Oh, and you'll have a parking space in the underground garage included! Back to the inside of the apartment, where there's plenty more great stuff! One of the bathrooms has a really beautiful rain shower, and the other has a shower/bath combo with the deepest tub I've ever seen in my life. The main bedroom is large, and has a closet that spans the entire back wall (the only reason I haven't taken pictures of it is because it currently has all of my clothes in it). I'm using the other bedroom for storage right now, but it's also spacious, and has two smaller closets. I've also lived here with someone else in the past, so trust me when I say the apartment can fit two people more than comfortably (plus, you each get your own separate bathroom!). The apartment is available from the third week of May until the end of July. It would be perfect for a researcher working at UVA for the summer (trust me, you could NOT get closer to grounds), an academic who's temporarily in-residence, or someone who's between longer leases. It's also a great fit for anyone who works at the hospital: the building is almost all med students, and it's a ten minute walk over there. It's also a five minute drive to the Downtown Mall, and, as I said, you're only steps from the Oakhurst Cafe, which has truly incredible coffee and blueberry muffins. As far as utilities go, water and Internet are included, so you'll only pay electric. I'll have all my stuff moved out by the time you get here, so the apartment will come unfurnished (which is perfect if you don't like my decorating taste!). My dogs aren't included either, sadly, but they say they've loved living here for the past four years, and they can't recommend it highly enough! Seriously I've had a wonderful experience here, and I'll be so sad to leave this place. All I want is for it to find a perfect new tenant, so please, if you're interested, contact me!
