Dilan Homes has masterfully renovated this c.1914 Mount Pleasant row house, creating an interior that is luxurious, yet understated. The entire composition works beautifully, having the old and new meet each other in a most suitable way. The design of the facade is one of the most identifiable features of row houses from its time.  The original architect employed a precise vocabulary from the classical canon, deploying a small cohort of details that represented a departure from residential architecture of late 19th century, sometimes referred to as the “Victorian Period.”  The strict formality of the brick work is lightened by the introduction of three differently sized dentils.  The windows are ornamented with keystones that evoke the Federal period.  Crisp, logical, and graced with a colonnaded front porch, this house is a fine example of its style. The first floor comprises a spacious, open floor plan, offering a glimpse of what one will find throughout all three floors. The kitchen, main living space, a den, and powder room are all found on this floor. The second floor offers three well-proportioned bedrooms, two full bathrooms, and laundry.
