Hi all, I signed a lease for a bedroom in Mount Pleasant for my summer internship and unfortunately with the Covid situation my internship has been cancelled so I need to find my friend Ali a new roommate to replace me. The apartment is on the ground floor of a really nice house in Mt. Pleasant. The room is really large I need to measure but roughly 15'x 20' with a giant closet and nice windows. I'm leaving my dresser, bed, and a few other items if you need furniture (No charge). To give you a sense of the amenities I've pasted the original posting for the apartment below: This fully renovated apartment is very large at roughly 1600 sq/ft and includes large closets, a bath with shower panel ( rainfall shower head, body sprayers, and a hand sprayer). There is also a HUGE living area, a dining area, kitchen with gas range and stainless steel appliances and giant bedrooms, as well as a private front porch. There are hardwood floors throughout. There is central A/C and heat, a washer/dryer in the unit, and a nice gas range and convection oven. The large windows let in lots of natural light. The apartment includes its own front and rear entrances. There is also a private patio area for your use. The apartment has its own hot water heater, furnace and thermostat which you control. There is also extensive sound proofing in the walls and ceilings to ensure that you have a private and noise free environment. The apartment is a 3 block walk to the metro and 1-2 blocks from the following bus lines: 42, 43, DC98, H2, H3, H4, H8, S1, S2, S4, and S9. There is a nice coffee shop a block away as well as numerous restaurants and bars. The nearest grocery is two blocks away. It is a 5-10 minute walk to Adams Morgan, a 20-25 minute walk or 12 minute bus ride to Dupont Circle, a 5 minute walk to Columbia Heights, and a 20-25 minute walk or 8 minute bus ride to U Street. Water, trash, and recycling is included, electric and gas are shared utilities bills each month. There is also off street parking available if you are interested.
