This West Oakland home is a two story upper unit of a duplex. It has an open concept design for the general living space on the first floor. There is a large open kitchen with Kenmoore Elite appliances which includes a 5 range gas stove, 3 gas ovens, dishwasher and a large freezer and refrigerator. The front room on the first floor has had many functions, a living room, piano parlor and library. Doors were installed so it can also function as a guest room if desired, however there is no closet. There is a half bath and full bath with a shower on the first floor. There is a gas fireplace in the living space and a wired bose sound system. There is a cozy deck that overlooks the backyard with stairs to access the patio and garden. The backyard is a shared space with the unit downstairs. There is absolutely no smoking or vaping inside either unit, however it is up to the tenants to navigate designated smoking areas in the shared backyard. There are garden beds provided to share. There is a productive lemon tree, fig tree, large rosemary bush and sage bush for communal use. On the second floor the primary bedroom has an open concept design with a massive bathroom separated by another gas powered fireplace. The bathroom has a soaking tub, double sink and a separate shower. There is a stacked premium washer and dryer in the hallway. The two bedrooms in the back of the unit are mirrored and near identical. Each room has it's own full bath room with bathtub/shower. Each room in the back of the house has a deck overlooking the backyard. The unit includes a parking spot in the driveway. There is a one car garage that can be available for storage or another parking space for a small car. The garage is wired for an EV charger. The garage is not automatically included but can be available to add to the lease for $250/month. The house is a 10 minute walk to the West Oakland Bart station in one direction. In the other direction it is a 10 min walk to Raimondi park, home of the Oakland Ballers, near the West Oakland farmers market. I prefer to have a master lease with one tenant. The lease holder will need to get a background check and credit check. All other adults must also get a background check. The initial lease will be for a 6 month term. After 6 months you will have the option to rent month to month or sign an additional year lease. Sewage , Waste, Recycling and Compost are covered by the landlord. Water usage is split between the other duplex unit. Gas is shared with the other unit as well and is calculated by gas appliance. Electric is separated by duplex.
