    What's special

Hi and thanks for looking :) One of our current roommates is moving out with the end of the lease, so we're looking for a new roommate to sign a year lease starting May 1st (move-in date probably May 6 [can be flexible], rent will be prorated). -Bear in mind, most stuff you see in the pictures belonged to said roommate and will be gone The house is about 2400ft2 on 3900ft2 of property, located in Mt. Baker District (5-10mins south of Cap Hill on S Massachusetts and 30th). x x Common Spaces Kitchen: 150ft2 Dining: 200ft2 Living: 250ft2 Upstairs Living: 150ft2 and half-bath Basement: 300ft2 Basement storage - utility closet (7.5x4.5) and cove (2.5x5) x x Available Room (pictures 2-3) - $770/mo: 100ft2 with a 4ft closet and window view of the backyard Restroom (pictures 4-5) is medium-sized (6.5x7) with a tall shower and shared with the other bedroom on the main floor x x Utilities (all-inclusive) are a flat rate of $80/mo per person - everything beyond that is taken care of by me. Rent (and utility payment) is due 1st of each month. $500 Refundable Security Deposit upon move-in (can be paid over two months if needed). $35 application fee. Landlord is asking First+Last+Security upon move-in. I can be flexible with this depending on the situation. x x Okay, now that you have the financials and the footage, here are some cool things about the house . . . Free street parking right outside the house (there's always space, day or night) Free in-unit washer and dryer New Electric Range New Dishwasher New Food disposal Free Hanging bike rack in the basement Side door entry to basement for easy access Upstairs living room and half-bath (can be shared space or double as a guest room etc.) Superfast Wi-Fi (great signal in the whole house) Backyard and front porch along with upstairs patios overlooking the city and Lake Washington Oh and there's a fireplace in the living room, which heats up the house really nicely x x All lawn care and maintenance is performed by landlord (or me), and they're very good about communicating and taking care of us. So, who will you be living with? I'm Eric - 30 year old Midwest transplant working at Microsoft in Bus Ops. I'm clean, active, and easy-going. Zach - 27 year old accountant with a cute, friendly golden retriever named Ruby (no more pets, sorry folks) Luke - 26 year old software developer from LA Nick - 26 year old account executive from Miami We're all pretty social and get along well. Responsible, single adults without kids or drama, but we have fun too and are looking for someone to join us, male or female. x x Please tell me a little about yourself. Some things to include, for example... Name: Age: Occupation: History: where you're from, why you're moving etc. Hobbies/interests: Anything else you might want to add . . . personality, expectations, questions, etc. x x Cleanliness This isn't everyone's favorite topic, but I've lived in shared environments for most of the last 10 years, and I've seen this cause more issues than most things. No reason to complicate it, though. Your bedroom is your space; that's no one else's business. Keeping the common areas clean is what's important. If the kitchen is clean, I'm a happy person. I cook most mornings and maybe one or two nights a week. I clean as I cook. I feel that if you're living in a house with 4 other people and one kitchen, when you're done cooking it should be clean enough for the next person so they don't have to clean up after you. That said, no one's going to flip a lid (terrible pun, I know) over a dirty plate and a couple beer bottles. Mutual respect is key, all anyone can ask. x x K, now that I'm done writing a novel, if you're still interested, and you should be :) it's a great place, feel free to contact me with any questions or comments, or if you want to schedule a viewing. I typically respond faster to text or email. Thanks for looking :) Eric
