And Whole Foods' landmark store is just a few blocks east at Lamar and 6th. There is a dry cleaner and garden center in the neighborhood. Other favorite restaurants and shops can be found just a couple of blocks west of Lamar. A growing number of galleries are choosing to locate in the Clarksville neighborhood. One of Austin's best Latin-American import stores, El Interior, is on West Lynn Street. The hilly neighborhood makes for great evening walks. There are two small neighborhood parks -- Clarksville Park and West Austin Park. Deep Eddy and the newly renovated West Enfield pool are a few blocks to the west. For walkers, runners and cyclists, the Shoal Creek hike and bike trail is a few blocks to the northeast. The trail adjacent to Lady Bird Lake and Zilker Park is just a few blocks south. Downtown Austin is about a mile to the east and the University of Texas is a couple of miles northeast. The historic Sweet Home Baptist Church is directly behind this home. The woods that were once part of the Texas Confederate Veteran's Home are directly across the street.
