After April 30, vehicle stickers for new vehicles must be purchased via the mail or 24-hour payment box at Village Hall, as proof of purchase date (bill of sale) is required. Failure to display a valid vehicle sticker subjects the resident to a possible citation. If a new license plate is not received within 30 days from the vehicle purchase date, a resident should not wait for the new plate number, but rather indicate that the license has been "applied for." Once the plate number has been received, contact the Finance Department at 847/392-6000 to record the license plate number. The sticker must be purchased and attached to the lower passenger side of the front windshield. Please obtain at the Finance Department in Village Hall (50 S. Emerson St., 1st Floor). NEW Residents New Village residents have 30 days from the date of residency to purchase a vehicle sticker at the regular rate; otherwise a penalty will apply. Vehicle stickers for new residents may be purchased IN PERSON at the Finance Department in Village Hall (50 S. Emerson St., 1st Floor), ONLY, as proof of residency is required. If a new license plate is not available within the 30-day time-frame, a resident should NOT WAIT FOR THE NEW PLATE NUMBER, but rather indicate that the license has been ?applied for." Once the resident has received a number, the resident MUST CALL 847/392-6000 to advise the Finance Department of the license plate number.
