It is in the lower Queen Anne/Westlake neighborhood, about 9 blocks north of the south end of the lake and less than 2 miles from the center of the downtown business district. There are only two apartments on each floor of this building, so this is a corner unit with no shared walls except for a short section on one side of the living room. It is located on the second floor which is actually one flight below the Dexter Ave street level because of the way the building is situated on the side of the hill. The unit is oriented toward the lake. There is a 100 foot green belt immediately outside the living room windows giving the apartment a relatively private feeling considering its in-city location. Beyond the green belt there are beautiful day and night views of Lake Union, Capitol Hill, and the Cascade Mountains. The apartment is approximately 920 square feet. In addition to the two bedrooms and 1.5 baths, it has a large living room with lots of windows and natural light, a dining room, a view deck, and plenty of closets. Appliances include a dishwasher, and there are laundry facilities (only 50 cents!) on the same floor. The address is 1738 Dexter Avenue North, which is about halfway between south Lake Union and Fremont. The apartment will be available May 4th. A twelve month lease is required. The rent is $1950 and the deposit is $650, $125 of which is nonrefundable. The rent includes water, sewer and garbage, but not electricity. There is a free storage locker and one free, reserved parking spot. (Some restrictions on Mondays.) Cats with good references accepted on a case by case basis. Sorry, no dogs. No Smoking.
