However, we've lived with other dogs / tenants no problem and they were great situations because we could dog sit for each other. I live in the upstairs unit. Sometimes I travel in my van, at which time I'll Airbnb the upstairs (they have no access to the downstairs, whatsoever). There is potential for basement tenant to offset some rent expenses by cleaning the airbnb in between guests (if that's of interest, totally optional). A monthly utility fee is required (includes all utilities and shared WIFI). Security deposit required. Available Aug 1. BACKGROUND/CREDIT CHECKS REQUIRED. 12 Month lease required. Private Landlord (lives upstairs) has a 2 bed / 1 bath basement unit in a quiet house and neighborhood. Tenant/s will have an entire basement apartment, with private access, *almost entirely to themselves. The basement holds the washer/dryer for the house, so I need access to laundry no more than 2-3 days/week. I coordinate timing / text with you on those days, never wander downstairs without your permission, and am downstairs no more than 5 minutes per week doing laundry. Other than that, I don't enter the basement, nor do airbnb guests, and you have a very private space. This is an ideal space for a student/grad students who needs a mostly quiet place and good rest. I am 39 and help run a nonprofit. I work from a home office most the year. I have a 5.5 year old pit named June. She loves humans and sometimes wanders downstairs to say hi. I mountain bike and raft during the summers and travel/surf/work remote in the winter and spring for work. I enjoy working around the house, keeping the yard, and have a small garden space. There's also a plum, pear and cherry tree in the yard that are ripe for pickin'. I often travel in my van for weeks to months at a time while utilizing my upstairs space as an airbnb. Other: All utilities, including WIFI, included with utility fee 1/2 Block to the bike trail 3 Blocks from Odd Pitch Brewing, restaurants, and shopping center 1100 sqft floor print (Lots of space!) I'm responsive to any property damages/failures on site. If things break, they're fixed ASAP. Small amount of garage space shelving for basement tenant. The garage is utilized as a shop and not a space for clutter. Ample street parking for tenants. Tenants can also squeeze in a rig in the back alley by the gate. Please remember before inquiring: This is a basement apartment. You'll hear creaky footsteps or things dropping upstairs. That said, I'm all about a respectful, thoughtful atmosphere and fully reciprocate that notion, and adhere to 9pm-8am quiet hours. If you're a loud person or like to blast TV/Music at a crazy level, this probably isn't a great fit. That said, have fun, BBQ's in the big yard, get-togethers, but please take the party elsewhere after 9pm, please. It'd be nice to have someone join the house that values community, as my current tenants and I take care of each others spaces when traveling, water plants, share the yard, etc. If you're interested, please message me and tell me about yourself and your work situation.
