It's less than a ten minute walk to the Columbia Heights metro on the green/yellow line, and the 14th Street shopping and dining district; the busses running up and down 16th Street are closer. Twenty-five minutes walk in the opposite direction is the Cleveland Park metro on the red line, and its shopping and dining district. Cross-town buses pick up on the corner a block away! Wonderful restaurants and music venues, groceries, shops, dry cleaner's, and farmer's market are a block away on Mt. Pleasant Street; major supermarkets and a hardware store are a 15 minute walk. In the other direction, the neighborhood abuts the National Zoo (a few minutes' walk away) as well as Rock Creek Park with its running, biking and hiking trails. The building owners live a ten-minute walk away, and so are able to address issues as they arise Tenants start with a one-year lease, then go month-to-month. All utilities are included.
