Sweet, classic PDX four-bed, two-bath house on a quiet street in the Buckman neighborhood, close to absolutely everything. The house is light, bright, and airy, with AC, a large kitchen and dining room that's ideal for cooking and entertaining, and a living room with a wood burning stove that's great to cozy up to once the rains come again. My husband and I lived in this house for many years, and have a deep connection to the space and to our memories there. We love this house.
Three of the bedrooms are on the second floor, the fourth is on the top floor, with a lovely window seat that looks down over the garden and the street. It has a huge basement with washer and dryer, and parking for bikes. There is off street parking for cars (though parking isn't ever a problem on the street), raised beds for the vegetable gardeners among us, and a mature yard with yard maintenance service. In the spring, the perennials come up, in the summer the jasmine blooms, and in the fall the maple turns a fiery red.
