The Barn is a one bedroom apartment. It sits atop a Studio apartment. The grounds are 2 1/2 acres . You will hear roosters. Dirt road. This is a quiet environment... to be kept quiet for reading, napping, yoga, resting, retreating. We are yogis, surfers, readers, gardeners, and appreciate a quiet calm surrounding:) that being said the pool and jacuzzi hours are 8 am - 10 pm. The space This is a guest house on a 2 1/2 acre parcel in the country. WE are an 8 minute drive to Pismo, Shell, And Avila Beach, CA. A twenty minute drive to San Luis Obispo. The beautiful Avila Barn is a highlight to see and purchase baked goods, and fresh produce. This is an upper level one bedroom, very private. Use of the pool, and jacuzzi are sometimes shared with other renters or us . We do have a golden doodle pup on the property who is very friendly and playful , so if you do not care for dogs this is not the spot for you . He is the official greeter ... The bedroom has a king bed, and the living room has a queen sofa sleeper. A private deck to over look pool. The neighborhood is quiet, on a dirt road, and just minutes from the historical Arroyo Grande, where you can find a grocery store, movies, Trader Joes, antique shops, restaurants. Public Transit is the train which can be found just down in Grover Beach. Approximately a ten minute drive. The San Luis Obispo Airport is just 20 minutes north of us. There are rental car companies, public transit such as "dial a ride" cabs, and the public bus as well. We are unique, because we have a historical monument on the property. We live in an old schoolhouse built in 1891. This shares the 2 1/2 acre parcel with the guest house. Very quiet set in the country, although we are minutes from surf, paddle boarding, wineries, shopping, restaurants There are dozens of fabulous hikes in our area. Great for all ages, and levels. This is a private area, gorgeous for relaxing by the pool and reading a good book. The wineries are as close as 2 miles away, and all around the area, Santa Ynez, Paso Robles, as well. There is a water slides park up in Paso as well. Our home has been featured in Central Coast magazine, as well as A full featured movie back in 2012. This was in fact a running school with several children from the area, and closed back in 1935.
