    Located about 10 minutes from Highway 17, this house is tucked away among redwoods but still a quick drive to Safeway or Target. Being both 20-30 minutes from Los Gatos and Capitola, it makes it an ideal location for work and play. The 550 sq ft home is attached to the main house garage but is separate from the main house. The private entrance opens the home's stairs and to the left a bedroom with a queen-size bed. The bedroom suite has a walk-in closet, a bathroom and full-size washer and dryer in a dedicated laundry area. The stairs take you up to the home's kitchen, fully renovated with new porcelain tile flooring, new appliances, and kitchen sink. The kitchen is fully stocked with dishes, cookware, knives, and baking essentials. Off the kitchen is a living space with a couch, wood burning fireplace, smart TV and desk. The 2nd floor features cathedral ceilings, skylights as well as a wall AC unit in the living room and ceiling fan in the kitchen. The listing pictures include some further details written in the description. Sewage and trash are included in rent. Tenant will be responsible for PG&E, internet, water and propane. We are in the process of getting Solar with a Tesla back up battery. We have PG&E but can have extended periods without power (usually a day but I've heard up to multiple days). In addition to the backup battery there is a generator that is set to turn on upon losing power. The house is fueled by propane but has its own dedicated tank and is set up for auto refills so you should never be without propane. Due to the proximity to the creek (it literally runs under the house) we have local water and a custom haul away septic system. This means all grey and black water/waste that leaves BOTH houses goes into a single 2500 gallon tank. Historically the septic will be hauled out monthly and this indicated by an alarm in the backyard. Given the cadence I have a good relationship with my pooper pumper and we can get the haul out done quickly. The house is WIFI dependent for cell service however the unit has its own dedicated high speed WIFI connection. I prefer to rent to someone who can be conscientious about both the water usage in light of the septic system and energy conservation during blackouts. Most pets (cats, birds, reptiles, fish, etc) are allowable, however no dogs since the house does not come with yard access. The property does have a small barn that currently houses 14 chickens, one of which is a rooster - Ernesto, however I am not sure you can hear him from the unit. Fresh eggs daily! Rent includes all utilities (electric, gas, water, sewage, trash, internet and a few streaming services already downloaded and logged in on smart TV). Asking for 6 month lease with option to do month to month thereafter. Parking is available in front of the house. Cats are permitted and other small contained creatures (birds, lizards, fish). Note for outdoor cats we have some rough neighbor cats and a close eye is suggested. No smoking permitted on the property and we do enforce quiet hours 9pm-7am. The property is located in a gulch where sound carries. Garage space and backyard usage are not included
