Our home is a bungalow on a corner lot on Thomas Avenue, one block off the Plaza and a 10-minute walk to the restaurants and shops on Central Avenue. It has a view of downtown. The kitchen has been completely remodeled including bamboo floors and a large pantry; and a studio (office or bedroom) was added in 2014. (We also added closets which is a real plus in an old house.) A new heating/cooling system was installed in 2009 and the house was entirely repainted in 2014. We have hardwoods throughout, and there are 2 wood-burning fireplaces. The house has a deep front porch facing Thomas and a screened porch off the kitchen facing the backyard. The backyard is completely fenced in and is set up with a large dog run hidden behind a second wood fence. There is a large slate and brick patio, a pond and steps up into the upper part of the backyard. It's a great gathering/party space.
