I am not using a professional management company as I like to deal directly with tenants. I'd take care of major issues (malfunctioning fridge or AC/heater, as examples), but I expect my tenants to be able to change a light bulb. If you prefer to have a maintenance crew available 24 hours, a better option for you might be to rent an apartment.
