The House Port is a new concept in home design, resulting from the work of artist Hally Thacher. It provides a forward-thinking minimalistic lifestyle in the heart of Central Texas. This home is their Ranch Style home offering two Cubes formed by Structural Insulated Panels. This design allows for air-tight & high insulation levels, allowing for relatively low-powered split-level A/Cs to be utilized in place of a traditional, bulky HVAC system. Above the cube-shaped buildings, an innovative House Port, a galvanized metal roof, covers the main buildings, providing insulation and relief from the weather and creating an open outdoor patio that surrounds the home.
