Neighborhood Description The reason we bought this house is the location. It has a small town like feel to it, but you're only a hop, skip, and a jump away from Seattle and Tacoma. On a clear day, I can walk outside my door and see Mt. Rainier. It is almost like the mountain is only a few miles away! We have a majestic river running right next to our development call the Carbon River, where you can enjoy river access for swimming, tubing and fishing. There is a bike trail called the Foot Hills Trail and is about 15 miles long. It still is a work in progress, when finished will be 25 miles long and will connect King County and Pierce County. There is also one of my favorite golf courses right across the street called The High Cedars Golf Course, a full 18 hole course with an executive 9 hole course as well. Large home sites with plenty of room between neighbors and spacious backyards made our decision very easy. It is great living in this community!
