Please, Read everything prior to asking questions and ask questions prior to scheduling a showing My Story: For years, I traveled to Western North Carolina to immerse myself in nature. I needed the lush forests to soothe my soul, the pure, cold water to cleanse me, the mountain views to reshape my perspective, and the starlit sky to inspire my dreams. Now, I'm grateful to call this beautiful, cleansing home my own, and I'm happy to share the peace and comfort we've (myself and now 10 yr old son) found here with you. After seven wonderful years of raising my young son here on my own, at 10 he decided he's ready for a taste of the city life. So now we're primarily in Florida. Over the years, We've shared our property as a campground with tiny houses and RVs, hosting hundreds of amazing guests, many of whom became long-term residents and friends. Our guests helped us achieve hip c amps best in North Carolina for three years!! Now that we're in school in Florida, we can't operate as before, but I still want to share the peace and paradise we've found here with other awesome earth lovers. The Magic Life, What to Expect Living on Cloud 9 Immerse yourself in the serenity of this special place, where you can listen to the creek, birds, and frogs, and feel the gentle breeze through the trees. Enjoy mountain views and the soothing sounds of the creek from our outdoor sitting areas, or hike along the creek to discover small waterfalls. Take a previously easy, now more challenging hike (thanks Helene) around our 9.5 acres, and enjoy the mountain views and rock outcroppings. As evening approaches, gather around the outdoor fire pit and gaze at the stars and fireflies , far from city lights. The house is a 3/2/2. 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and 2 kitchen counter/sink areas inside the house with 1 fridge/freezer and 1 stove/oven and tons of smaller kitchen appliances to share. 1 br and bath is kept separate for us. 2 bedrooms are 1 for each roommate, 1 bathroom , 2 kitchens, a laundry room, living room, dinning room, patio, and garage lounge plus 9.5 acres of field and forest are the shared areas. I've found 1 roommate already ,yay! He's on his 1st month and so far so good. He's a mature gentleman and has been really nice and helpful thus far. He is well known in the local community as a good guy so I don't anticipate any issues. While listing says 1 person only I'm totally open to a single parent situation just reach out and discuss 1st. I'm not open to couples. My son and I are great roommates as our reviews on bnb and on Hip amp show. Plus we're only there for a few weeks of the summer and 1wk/mo or less during the school year. If someone isn't working out in the house we'll adjust situations quickly. I want happy roommates We'll introduce you to the neighbors and locals so you feel connected and supported. We love to have gatherings when we're there. I like things clean and don't want to arrive to my place of peace and feel grumpy about other people's mess. So only clean people need to apply. I'm not up for having to police adults when I come up to play. Happy stays begin with clear expectations: Our space is Not Bougie It's a warm, inviting 1950s home with artistic updates, comfortable beds, and a profound sense of peace that will penetrate you, revitalize you, and linger in you long after your visit. It's a natural space, and I allow the grass to grow until after the fireflies appear, usually may or June. We are net positive in power production via our awesome 13.7 kW solar system. I expect you to manage your usage to continue the trend. As long as you don't go over production there is no utility fee. If you do go over the ample production the bill will be split. This is most likely to happen in the late winter months after using the excess from the summer. Star Internet is included. Water and sewer included. TRASH IS NOT INCLUDED. YOU MUST TAKE YOUR TRASH DOWN TO TOWN DAILY If you're down-to-earth, nature-loving, and environmentally conscious, you're our people and will Love Love Love it here! If a perfectly manicured space is what you're looking for, and you're not up for life without a thermostat and afraid of managing your own trash, Please Please choose another listing! We want Happy Conscious Campers only! Our space is clean, well-stocked, comfortable, frill-free, and drama-free. I'm a great steward of my spaces and an amazing hostess, but I'm not up for hassles or people who don't respect my home and land. Please note: * We do not have central heat and air. We have a wood-burning stove, electric heaters, and fully operational windows and ceiling fans. The creek is also a great way to cool off on a warm day. I have seen 90 precisely once on my property and I've lived here for 7 years without AC. Summer evenings are amazingly cool. ThrOw open the windows. Plus or minus the fans and enjoy the beauty of mountain weather. * You must take your trash with you daily. Do not leave it outside the main house or let it accumulate inside. We do not have trash service, and wild animals are present. * On fire safety. Never burn when there's wind. Always check broad river fire department Fb and website for fire bans and warnings. Follow them or be fined! Never start a fire with flammable liquids!! Never add those to a weak fire either! Watch YouTube video on how to safely build fires. Worst or wet case scenarios Buy fat lighter/starter logs at the store. Never burn anything but plant material (no bottles, glass aluminum, plastic, or other bs). Never make a fire that is too big for the smaller part of the pit. Never have fire without having several gallons of water by the pit, plastic vinegar jugs are on patio. Do Not leave them lying around empty in the yard...that will incur the leaving trash clause. Never leave fire unattended. Always extinguish fire completely with water We do have good neighbors and property support to keep an eye out for any unapproved shenanigans. Roomies are permitted to have occasional guests and or gatherings with both other roommates permission. Highway 9 did sustain heavy damage during Helene. They have done an incredible job of repairing them and are still working to get them back to 100%. There are still 2 sections that are 1 lane. They do have traffic lights. They work well. Please follow them. They are shutting down 1 section at night but there is still access by another route. There is also access to Lake Lure and Chimney rock. Businesses are open and waiting to serve you! Thanks so much for choosing our sweet space! We love sharing and deeply appreciate your support. 1100/mo plus wood for winter fires and 1/2 of electric if you use more than the massive system provides. I think I've had 5 bills in 5 years. achieving that does require attention but you'll never be out of power because your grid tied. The lease is a month to month lease with 30 day notice but would prefer someone interested in staying 6 months or more.
