It is 25 minutes to drive from the little town of Capon Bridge on rt 50 to the cabin. Amazing view from the deck and there is also a screened porch. 3 options for heat: There is a mini split heat pump that provides air conditioning and heat for when you don't feel like loading up the wood stove. Also there is electric baseboard heat for fine-tuning the temperature. Rustic, nice interior. Brand new stainless stove and refrigerator with icemaker, and a spot in the kitchen for you to bring your own clothes washer and dryer. Sorry, no dishwasher. The water comes from a 3000 gallon cistern that collects rainwater, so you will need to bring your own drinking water and in a dry season you might have to bring in water or have it delivered. As a remote property, it might be a little rough to access when there is snow on the ground. In normal times it is a little steep but I have driven up regularly in my Camry with no issues at all. Ask about your senior discount. Renter is responsible for all utilities and may have to haul water or have it delivered. One year lease minimum. We collect first, last and deposit on move in. We're pretty picky about who we rent to. I like to see proof of income, a good track record of paying rent on time, good references, decent credit and a background check clear of violent offenses.
