There is a utility room with your own washer/dryer and an attached 11 x 3.5 ft closet. The kitchen has a small electric stove, oven and an under-counter fridge. I'm willing to add another fridge/freezer to the space if needed and am open to creative ideas to make the space awesome and welcoming. Your private entrance has a cute covered porch area. There are multiple outbuildings on the property for shared storage. The studio is located below the main house, so there is noise transfer through the floor/ceiling (footsteps, music). I don't have kids and am usually in bed between 10pm - 6am, so it shouldn't be too bad. WFH: cell reception isn't great (1 to 2 bars on Verizon LTE), but I just bought a booster, so we'll see how that goes. I have Centurylink internet now (13 mbps) and am installing my new Stalink system this week. Fingers crossed we'll have crazy fast internet soon! Pets: my 4 acre rural property is dog friendly (I'm allergic to cats), but your dog must be well-behaved around other dogs, horses, free-roaming chickens and other farm-type animals. I hope to have the property fenced eventually, but that won't happen this winter. Zero tolerance for your dog roaming into the neighbors' property or messing with their animals (trust me). I hope to have horses within the next year and can likely rent you space for yours if it works out. Access: my dirt driveway is steep and sketchy in the winter (yes, it's plowed), so you'll need 4 wheel drive and good tires. Owner will not be responsible for any damage caused to your vehicle. There is the option to park at the bottom of the driveway on the flat road and walk up the 50 yard driveway to the house. About me (your upstairs neighbor/landlord): I worked in art and music in New Orleans (2000 - 2005) and then moved back home to California after Hurricane Katrina. I worked in finance for 10 years (muni bonds, private banking), and then hit the snooze button in 2015 to own and operate Smiley's Schooner Saloon & Hotel, the oldest bar in California (Marin county, CA). During that same time, I bought an organic farm and started a farm-stay glamping and event space and did all of the jobs from the nerdy to the dirty. I started "wintering" in Jackson Hole during the "rainy" season in California to get my powder fix. I've worked at JHMR for the past two winters and have decided to remain in Jackson full time. I love this community and am excited to lay down roots here. In my free time I do a mediocre job of snowboarding, snowmobiling, mountain biking, road biking, boating, horseback riding, fishing, hunting, cooking, entertaining, camping, etc. Lease & Utilities: $1850/month lease will start Jan 1 and run through the end of April with the option to renew for 6 months or 1 year if it's a good fit for both of us. 2 humans max for the rental. Owner pays for winter plowing, trash and water. Electric split with owner. Starlink internet (if desired) can be split with owner.
