Hi, we're 2 guys and 1 old dog (no other pets please), renting a beach house across PCH from the ocean. Open your window, and fall asleep to the sound of waves at night. Our 3rd roommate moved in with is girlfriend, and we're looking for someone to take over his room for the remainder of the current lease, which runs through June. The ideal candidate will move in, with the understanding that they will sign the new lease with the 2 of us, beginning July 1, 2017. This is a 3br/ 2 bathroom house, across from the beach, w/ guest room. Walk to the sand in 5 minutes. Walk/bike ride to Main St. HB/Newport Peninsula. There is a gym, pool, jacuzzi, and you'll have a driveway to park, or your own reserved spot. Must have min. 620 credit score -- w/ a full-time job outside of the home, and a decent income; able to pass a background check, and qualify to sign the lease. Please NOTE: this is NOT an apartment -- but an actual house, in a gated complex of over 300 manufactured homes. The place is well kept, quite and safe. (Among the many great things about this, is that there are no common walls, elevators, stairwells, or hallways -- there's no noise coming through the wall from your neighbors -- like in the big local complexes,) We are non smokers, casual drinkers, and we're not into drugs, though we don't have a problem if you occasionally smoke pot -- but, we don't want a roommate who is a stoner. The house has a great side porch and yard, with a BBQ grill, and you'd be encouraged to make full use of the kitchen, and common spaces. We have high-speed internet, but don't watch TV, so there's no cable -- though if it's a must, we don't mind adding it. If you have lots of furniture, we should be able to accommodate much of it here. Having friends over is OK, as are responsible guests. We have a spare room for pre arranged visits by family and friends. Occasional overnight guests in your room are OK. We're both involved in relationships and our partners stay-over occasionally, which is OK for you too, just no live-in bf/gfs. We're not looking to rent to a couple. A little bit about us: 1 guy is gay, 40's, entrepreneur, college educated, well traveled, sociable, likes to BBQ. 2nd guy is late 20's, straight, Master's Degree, engineer, originally from India, works in the automotive industry, friendly and sociable, and makes a mean curry. We've lived together for almost 2 years, and have not had a single problem. The engineer works long hours outside of the home M-F, and the entrepreneur works from home most weekdays, and outside of the house nearly every weekend. This is actually nice, as we have fairly opposite schedules which gives us some alone time in the house. We're open to a roommate of any race, religion, sexual orientation (LGBTQ friendly), gender, or national origin. We'd just like you to be fun, and relaxed, with good communication skills and a strong sense of mutual respect -- and be financially responsible. This MASTER BEDROOM (apx. 12'x16' w/walk in closet and large private bathroom) is available under the current lease terms for: $1000.00 per month, plus 1/3 of the shared expenses -- apx. $50 per month. We expect a reasonable rent increase with the new lease -- beginning July 1st, which we'll apportion amongst the 3 roommates. This is a great house for an active person who enjoys a beach lifestyle. We are close to downtown Huntington Beach and Pacific City, an easy drive to Irvine, Newport Beach, Costa Mesa, Garden Grove, Westminster, even Long Beach. So... come and go, relax, surf, ride your bike, have fun, enjoy your home -- bbq's, GoT nights, bonfires on the beach.... If you what to live well, in a comfortable home, without spending a ton of money -- this is the place for you. The beach has events every weekend, all summer long, so there's plenty to do.
