This 500 sqft unit is a private apartment with private access in a 2-unit hillside home that packs a lot into a small package - modern concrete tile floors throughout, full bath, kitchen with appliances and pantry, 2 closets in the bedroom, walk-out patio and even some green space! The old spiral staircase in the living room used to connect the 2 levels of the home, but now just gives it a unique charm (can be used as a bookcase/storage or whatever creative idea you can come up with). Well-behaved pets considered. Property is fully fenced and secured behind a locked gate. Free shared laundry room (each floor has their own entrance) and outdoor space includes a large patio with plenty of space for entertaining, a fire pit and garden area on separate level. Great upstairs neighbors in the top unit! Utilities are split with the upstairs and run ~$75/month per person. There is parking directly in front of the house (requires a $15 annual permit for overnight parking only, no restrictions during the day) and there are always spots, as this street only has a couple residential houses on it. However, since Riverside is a busy street, most residents opt to park on side streets at night, which has proven to be the more secure (& cheaper) option. Just a heads up on a few quirks... *the ceiling height is slightly lower than average, so if you are exceptionally tall, it may not be a good fit for your comfort level. 7' ceilings, 6'5" doorway clearance and there's one light fixture with 6'2" clearance. *the house can only be accessed via stairs from the street-level, so not fit for the physically disabled. *since the property is near the freeway, it can get noisy outside, but the unit is equipped with double paned windows and noise reduction inserts as a precaution for indoor comfort. *if you opt for the side street parking overnight, it's about a 5 minute walk.
