The upstairs apartment in my two-family home is available for rent in Jersey City. It's a 30 min commute into downtown NYC (I make the commute daily to head to work). This is a multi-month rental with the option to move into a long-term agreement if things go well. The apartment is fully furnished, but I am flexible and can remove the furniture. There is a washer-dryer downstairs in the basement, backyard with garden, and street parking available. No smoking or pets.
