With people around most times, Belmont Shore is one of the most enjoyable and safest urban areas. Street parking is available but at peak hours, you might have to walk a block or two...there is a phone app to record where you parked each day. Living here for 30 years saw many walking around, clicking their keys, having forgotten where they parked...recording where you parked is just one of the quirky things about life in the shore... Some tenants have streamlined the process even further, buying a parking permit for one of the 2 beach lots that offer annual permits ...this part of the shore, away from 2nd Street, has available street parking as well, but not necessarily in front of the apartment. 1 year lease required, going month-to-month thereafter. Additional lease agreements available. Landlord pays hot water, house lights, laundry utilities, dumpster fees. Individual electricity and remaining gas is individually metered. 22 and 24 St. Joseph are nonsmoking properties. Tenants are asked to keep the property free of personal belongings, and to do routine maintenance tasks like discarding unwanted mail, sealing trash and kitchen waste to avoid flies, etc.. These are quiet buildings and tenants may not disturb neighbors, talk in the common areas after 10pm and before 7am. All socializing needs to consider that this is a multifamily complex and parties, etc. need to be planned for more appropriate settings. Street parking is generally available and tenants with late night work hours might choose to use a City parking permit in one of the beach lots.
