I am currently updating all the exterior drainage with a french drain system. I have never had a water problem in, under or around the house, I just wanted an underground system of drainage as opposed to an above ground system. In addition, I am planing to have the trim painted (as the body of the house is hardi - plank and the paint is holding well) and some interior painting and updating the floors. The upstairs family room has a cathedral ceiling. The downstairs layout is not exactly as the one picture in the above drawing.
