Hello friends! Looking for a QTBIPOC roomie to fill an affordable room in the Fruitvale area(East Oakland) by 10/1/2021. The bedroom is in the photos. It is furnished at the moment because I currently live in this space. I will be occupying the other room once my current roommate moves out. Me, your housemate: Marco Garcia(he/him) A.K.A Kico Le Strange(she/her) a queer latin individual who is visual artist, studio manager, and an executive assistant to a CEO. I have lived in this apartment for the past 6 years and love living here. 2 bedroom room apartment. We have a cute back yard, a sun room, a spacious living room, kitchen equipped with a dishwasher, a hallway closet(to be shared), and a bathroom. Not a scent free space. The apartment unit is the 2nd story of a duplex home. Our downstairs neighbors are fairly new and awesome. There is also a unit in the back which is in the process of being filled. I am seeking someone who maintains a clean and tidy space, and is invested in creating a pleasant, safe home space. Person should preferably have a stable employment/income, and is able to communicate clearly and openly. I am down to build community, share meals, and chill occasionally but am also happy to just live side by side with respect and comfortable boundaries. 15 min bike ride, 20-25 min walk to Fruitvale Bart station. Close to the Dimond District where there is a Safeway, Farmer Joes, CVS, restaurants, and Dimond Park. Also in our neighborhood is a Walgreens. Near the bart station is a shopping center with FoodMax and other stores. No washer and dryer in the unit but are close to several laundromats. Only individuals, no couples. Prefer someone over the age of 30. No pets. Room is $790 per month, must sign a one-year lease(landlord request). 1st month plus deposit($982) up front. Landlord requires a credit score of 650 or higher and will conduct a background check. Utilities run about $110-$130 a month overall and would be split between the 2 of us, you will pay $55-$65.
