Immediate residential neighbors are typically long-term owners, with the Skyway development being about 50 years old. It's close to the University Farm, as well as to the Otterson Industrial park (light industrial - UPS and similar). Quiet, with the predominant noise being the railroad about half a mile away - it's well buffered by the extensive orchards that surroung the house and neighborhood. We've often been mistaken for being part of Durham, though that's a difficult mistake to make - we're on the south edge of Chico, about six miles from Durham. But we were able to send our children to Pleasant Valley High School, and could have sent them to Durham on an inter-district transfer, without problems. There's just no bus service to PVHS or DUHS from here.
