Welcome Home! This home was a shambles and is still in construction as you can see! Updates as more work is done will be made to this website! Where to begin? When you walk in you enter a large foyer in which you will first see the magnificent staircase, restored to its original beauty. This staircase is fabulous with welcoming pineapples to cathedral ceiling and chandelier (to be installed). In the entry way you can enter the formal living room at the front of the home and enjoy the bright airiness. Or go through the pocket doors from either the entry way or living room into a grand formal dining room. From the dining room you enter what I call the great room with a fireplace. Sit by the bay window on your window seat with a warm fire crackling and watch the snow fall or change of seasons. With original wood beams across the ceiling to the original lead glass door to the new kitchen this room is everything! Hard to choose if the great room or the new eat-in kitchen with views of the mountain are a favorite. The kitchen is still under construction and pictures are not available as of yet. Let me assure you the pictures of the view through the window are where the kitchen table should be! The kitchen, almost complete with new cabinets and countertops (not yet decided) has been brought up to 2007 standards and flows wonderfully. The bathroom on the first floor has hardwood, the original hardwood it had in 1875. All of the floors have been restored throughout the home and you would not believe your eyes when you see how beautifully they came out. Only two floors in this home are tile, the bathroom on the second floor (the tile was replaced) and the NEW 2nd floor laundry room. Every other room in this fantastic Victorian is the original hardwood! The bedrooms upstairs are airy, bright and welcoming. The master bedroom has a large walk in closet.
