Shared spaces include the kitchen (granite countertops all stainless-steel appliances), a spacious dining room, living room, and patio all on the main level of the home. The home is fully equipped with a Ring security system for all doors and keyless entry for the main door. We also have a Nest thermometer to regulate home temperature. There is a washer and dryer in the home. There is free street parking all around the neighborhood and we almost never have trouble finding something in front of the house or closeby. No street permits needed or meters parking is free. About the neighborhood: The home is located less than a mile from Penn Station, so this is a great spot for commuters using the MARC train. Perfect for Hopkins students: We are also a 10-minute walk distance to the Johns Hopkins University campus and to the shuttles for other campuses. The neighborhood is a cool neighborhood with lots to do and places to eat. Our favorites places include R.House for a casual dinner, Clavel for tacos and mezcal, and PaperMoon Cafe for brunch. Peabody Brewery and the newly opened White Hall Mill Market are also closeby. There are great running and biking trails around the neighborhood both into Druid Hill Park and Johns Hopkins University. Everything you need is walking distance from our home drug store/pharmacy, bank, hair salon/barber, convenience stores, dry cleaner, restaurants, coffee shops, bars, medical center (Johns Hopkins Community Physicians and MedStar Union Memorial), gyms (Crossfit, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Yoga, etc.), tennis, baseball, and basketball courts, and grocery stores are less than a mile away. About You: Must be a graduate student or working professional, ideally between 24 to 40 years old. No smokers, please. Totally fine on occasion during a party or if you have friends over and they want to smoke outside. But please, no habitual smokers. The logistics: We would like to rent the house and is available for immediate move in on January 1, 2022. Rent for the house will be $2500/month, utilities are not included. Prospective tenants will have to complete a basic rental application (no fee) and provide proof of employment verification or financial aid and references. Pets are negotiable, but it depends on the animal. If approved, it will require $100 per month pet fee. To secure the house, we will need one month's rent security deposit, which will be returnable to you at the end of your lease barring any damage to the house. Lease term will be for 1 year, up to 1.5 years with room to extend the lease. The lease will automatically renew each month after the agreed upon lease term. Please reach out if you are interested!
