We are looking for a long-term roommate with an initial 3-month sublease, after which they could be added to the lease. Located in Lower Dimond, we live in a 3 bedroom apartment on the top floor of a renovated three-floor victorian-style triplex. The house has nice views of the hills and the Sausal Creek tree line. We love that our home is a peaceful place to put on our slippers and relax with headphones on. We have a back porch area to sit, get some air, and view the sunsets. We keep our space fairly tidy and have a good amount of house plants. The apartment itself was recently updated with a new fridge, and there is a washer and dryer in-unit. We are not able to accommodate pets. The room itself is in the back of the unit and is 13ft x 10.5ft, with wood flooring. The best room in the building, it gets ample sun throughout the day, with south-east facing windows and has a private ensuite bathroom. Neighborhood and Parking: Street parking is always available within a block of the unit, bus stops are a short walk away on Fruitvale, 580 is nearby as well, and we're a nine-minute walk to Farmer's Joe's and the shops of the Dimond district. Except for fireworks when it's warm out, it's a quiet area. We like our neighborhood--friendly, diverse, relaxed, and with many long-time residents still here. Us: I - White cis het man in his early '30s. Teaches 6th grade at a nearby middle school, am a semi-serious rock climber and a serious producer ( of children's music!). Gone early and back around 4-5. Simultaneously in grad school for counseling, so very busy and very tired (but positive!) S - White, she/they, late '30s artist and writer, friendly introvert, former non-profit worker currently on a break to rest and figure out next steps, while learning how to quilt. I grew up a short walk from here and feel grateful to be able live so close to my childhood places. Renter pays for their share of gas and electric, as well as internet. Rent is due directly to landlord via zelle on first of the month.
