A great home in a great neighborhood. It has 3 bedrooms downstairs and 2 upstairs. The upstairs can be closed off and only used when necessary. Downstairs set up with 2 master suites. Great for guests or a mother-in-law wing. Once master bath has been recently renovated and has a large whirlpool tub that my wife enjoys. Hardwood floors throughout most of the house. It has a fairly open floor plan that is perfect for entertaining. It has a very large kitchen with lots of cabinet and counter space. Whole family loves to cook and it accommodates all of us. The family room could be called a sun-room. Windows and french doors open onto a very private courtyard. I have a birdfeeder just a few feet from the back of the house and enjoy watching the wildlife from the couch. The outside areas are what really make this home special. Immediately behind the house is a very private courtyard that is surrounded by a brick/stucco wall. It is shaded by a pecan tree and the largest Japanese Magnolia I've ever seen. We entertain in the courtyard and regularly eat our dinner out there. There is very little grass to cut in the courtyard as most of it has been converted to garden. This courtyard is a gardener's dream. My mother owned the house before I did and planted many unique but easy to care for plants. Behind the courtyard is an open area maybe a 1/2 acre in size. It is completely enclosed with a chain link fence with wax myrtles planted around the exterior to give it privacy. We keep our boat back there but would be perfect for a camper as well. It's also a great yard for dogs. We have two and they really enjoy it. Also in the backyard is a small office building. It is stucco to match the house. It was originally a law office for the original owner. Right now it is a workshop with work benches throughout. It makes a great workshop but could also be turned into a nice mother-in-law suite by adding a bathroom and kitchenette. It's in a really fantastic neighborhood with great neighbors. It's a well established neighborhood with big trees and nice old homes. All of the neighbors know each other and regularly entertain at each other's houses. It is a very quiet neighborhood because there is no thru-traffic but it is only a few seconds from town. We love this house and would never dream of selling it if I weren't going to law school. If you have any questions please feel free to get in touch. By the way, I'm a licensed real estate agent. Neighborhood Description The neighborhood is very quiet because their are no thru-streets but it is very close to town. We can be at the grocery store in under a minute. It was originally developed in the 1950's so the houses date from this time period. It is full of large mature trees and everyone takes very good care of their lawns so it is a nice place to walk around. While our house is one of the larger homes they are all very nice and well kept. It is a good mixture of retirees and younger families as there is a good mixture of house sizes. I'd say the smallest house is around 1300 sqft and, as I said, ours is one of the larger around 4000 sqft. The neighborhood is very welcoming to new residents. Whomever buys our house will undoubtedly be included in the 4th of July celebrations, Memorial Day celebrations, and Halloween. We don't have any neighbors that we don't like or don't get along with. It's a great place to live!
