The living room lets you be in the center of the home, with access to interact with the kids playing on the 2nd floor, and with your spouse in the kitchen. The living room/kitchen area provides you the ability to entertain friends, yet keeps it feeling intimate, even with a large group. The kids have loved having their own space upstairs in the loft area and we have enjoyed being able to keep tabs on them without having to be on the 2nd floor. We love being able to have friends come visit and provide them private space in the basement. We also love that we can escape downstairs into the movie room and watch a movie as a family or as a couple. We also love the view, especially in the fall! We love that we can sit on the back porch in the evening and enjoy the sunset and view across the neighborhood as the kids are playing in the back yard. On top of all this, we absolutely love our neighborhood! How do you put a price on being able to walk with your kids to school in the morning and at the same time be close enough to work that you can do this every day if your calendar allows. The neighborhood also has so many kids of elementary school age that there are plenty of friends for them. The neighborhood feels like the ones we had growing up, were you could walk out the door at 9am to go play with your friends in the summer and not be back until 5pm and everyone was ok with that. This house and neighborhood has been amazing for us and while we are sad to leave this house that is full of so many good memories, we hope that you will have the opportunity to create your own as well.
